Synadia, a San Mateo, CA-based company behind NATS.io, a cloud and edge-native messaging system for data streaming, has secured M in Series B funding, bringing the total funding to M. The round was led by Forgepoint Capital, with participation from Singtel Innov8, LDVP, and 5G Open Innovation Lab. Ernie Bio, Managing Director at Forgepoint, will join Synadia’s board of directors.
The funding will be used to further enhance the growth of NATS.io and expand their digital services to the edge. Founded in 2017 by CEO Derek Collison, Synadia enables developers and enterprises to accelerate the delivery of their edge applications strategy in a secure and cloud-agnostic manner. Their open-source platform, NATS.io, is utilized by a diverse customer base, including startups and Global 500 enterprises in various industries such as finance, retail, automotive, industrial manufacturing, fintech, AI, green energy, and gaming.
This investment signifies a vote of confidence in Synadia’s mission to empower businesses to leverage edge computing effectively.
