Integrated Micro-electronics, Inc. (IMI) has announced that Mr. Arthur R. Tan will be stepping down as the CEO of the corporation upon the conclusion of his term on April 25, 2024.
Mr. Tan has been at the helm of IMI for the past 22 years, overseeing the company’s evolution from a Philippines-based contract manufacturing firm primarily serving Japanese OEMs to a globally recognized player in the EMS industry. Under his leadership, IMI has become one of the top 25 Global EMS companies and a top 10 Global Auto EMS provider, offering a wide range of services to tier-1 and OEM customers worldwide.
Following a special board meeting held on February 13, 2024, IMI’s Board of Directors has approved a CEO transition plan and selected Mr. Lou Hughes as the nominee to succeed Mr. Tan. Mr. Hughes brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held various leadership positions in sales, engineering, sourcing, and operations at prominent companies such as General Electric and Universal Electronics. His appointment is subject to approval by the IMI Board, with his official start date set for May 1, 2024.
