Xcloud Comes To The Xbox App

Microsoft has officially made their Xbox Cloud Gaming platform (better known as ‘xCloud’) available directly within the Xbox App for Windows.

Through Xbox Cloud Gaming, players can stream 100s of games from the Xbox Game Pass library on any device without having to worry about hardware restrictions. The service was previously only available on Windows and iOS platforms through the Cloud gaming webpage.

This ability however is still currently in beta phase and is available only to those who are Xbox Insiders members and subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate. It’s also currently only available in just under two dozen countries, a list of which ones is available by visiting the Xbox Service Availability page.

Microsoft has also announced they’re working on implementing a new night mode for its Xbox Consoles – allowing owners to dim or alter the warmth of light levels of their screens along with dimming controller LED brightness and the Xbox power button. Currently, the new night mode is being tested with Xbox Insiders.

Finally, Amplitude Studios and Sega’s 4X strategy game “Humankind” will launch on Xbox Game Pass PC on Day One of the game’s launch on August 17th. Players will have to create their own civilization that can be as unique as you’d like it to be. The title will also be available for PC and Google Stadia.
