Netflix mobile games are included in the membership

Just about a month ago, Netflix confirmed the rumors that it’s going to expand into the gaming industry. In fact, it declared in its shareholder letter it’s adding video games to your subscription without an extra fee.
Apparently, the streaming giant has already started testing Netflix Gaming as it released two Stranger Things mobile games in Poland. According to the source, the service will be available for Android users for now.
The two games, namely Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3, will allegedly appear under a new tab in the Netflix mobile app. Based on the screenshot from the announcement, users have to download and install these games to play, not stream them on the platform.
Once the download process is complete, users will allegedly be able to enjoy the games within the Netflix app since they won’t appear in the app drawer. Also, they will be required to log in with their Netflix credentials before they can start playing.
Thru a tweet, Netflix Poland enumerated the advantages of its new gaming service: no ads, no in-app purchases, and games are included with your Netflix membership. There’s no further explanation about the said games since this is clearly a test run. It added,

It’s very, very early days and we’ve got a lot of work to do in the months ahead, but this is the first step.

There is still no announcement whether Netflix will expand its testing of these mobile games outside Poland or not. We’ll keep you guys updated.
