Spiritual Jet Set Radio successor Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is coming to the Nintendo Switch, developer Team Reptile has announced.
The studio made the reveal during last night’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase, where it also said the game will be a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch. It won’t be exclusive for too long, however—the game’s newest trailer description reveals “other platforms follow about a week later.”
In addition, the team revealed that you’ll also be able to traverse via skateboard. They’ll join the previously-showcased roller blades, wall running and rocket powered boots as options for you to pull off your funky fresh moves with around the city.
The game was originally revealed by Team Reptile last summer. Just like its inspiration, you’ll skate around a sprawling metropolis, pulling tricks and spraying tags while avoiding the cops. Once you’ve painted enough graffiti, you’ll get to challenge opposing crews in a skate-off to take over the territory. Japanese composer Hideki Naganuma—who also worked on the original two Jet Set Radio titles—even provides the game’s soundtrack.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is currently set to grind in for a 2022 launch on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Check out the latest trailer for the game for yourself down below.
