Xbox Series X gameplay to be shown next week

On next week’s edition of Inside Xbox, Microsoft will finally reveal what gameplay looks like on the Xbox Series X, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Are you ready to see the future of gaming? You better be because on next week’s edition of Inside Xbox, Microsoft will be revealing gameplay on its next generation console, the Xbox Series X.

In a tweet today, Microsoft promised to reveal games for the Xbox Series X and a first look at next-gen gameplay on the Thursday, May 7 edition of Inside Xbox. The show will begin at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET.

Based on the tweet, which touts gameplay “from our global developers partners” it sounds as though most of the gameplay shown will be from third-party publishers and developers. Ubisoft has already stepped up and revealed their plans to showcase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay.

Ubisoft officially revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla today but only through a cinematic trailer. It sounds like we’ll get our first proper look at gameplay on May 7.

While the twee mentions global partners, it’s possible a few of Microsoft first-party developers could show off their games as well. Microsoft didn’t name specific developers but we do know the company has acquired a number of studios over the years. There are a total of 15 development studios under the Xbox Game Studios banner and while we know what some of them are working on, there should be quite a few surprises.

We’ve already seen early looks at 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite and Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. Both titles have already been announced for the Xbox Series X and could be shown in further length during Inside Xbox next week. Hopefully, we finally get to see actual gameplay footage as well from these games.

The Xbox Series X still has a holiday 2020 window but we all know that could change based on what happens with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Microsoft has still not announced a price for its next-gen system.
