The Outer Worlds is an open-world action-rpg following the player who is lost in space aboard a colonist transportation ship. The page for the game on the Nintendo store describes the story, “lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later than you expected only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony”. The game gives players the freedom to choose how they play the game, which could lead to a number of different endings, a trend commonly seen in RPGs like Bethesda’s Fallout series. In the game players also are able to explore the furthest reaches of space and interact with various factions that can influence the progression of the game, adding more freedom and choices for players. The announcement for the game’s Switch release also included a new screenshot taken from the Switch port of the game. Players can purchase and pre-load the game for Switch right now as they prepare for the game’s release on June 5th.[embedded content]
