Nashville SC hosting esports FIFA 2020 tournament on Thursday

The sport may not be happening on the field for one of Major Soccer League’s newest franchises, but Nashville SC announced that it will be hosting an esports FIFA 20 Tournament on Thursday.

The tournament will give fans the opportunity to compete against each other for a chance at becoming the ultimate NSC eCup champion.

The free, single-elimination event is limited to the first 64 entrants, 18 years or older, who register at: NashvilleSC.com/NSCecup. Participants can also find the complete list of tournament rules on the website.

The tournament will be played on Xbox One and will include prizes for the top three participants. The winner is set to receive an away replica jersey and two Nashville SC game tickets, with an on-field experience when the MLS season resumes. Second place will also get two game tickets, while third place is going to be awarded with a hat and a scarf.

Nashville SC played just two matches of its inaugural MLS season before COVID-19 suspended play.
