As we just reported, Microsoft announced its next Xbox during The Game Awards, and it will be called Xbox Series X. But as with almost all new consoles throughout history, it also launches with a new controller.
At a first glance, the Xbox Wireless Controller looks a whole lot like the Xbox One controller, but there are a couple of key differences. First of all, it won’t feel the same to hold it, as both the shape and size has been changed. According to Microsoft, this is “to accommodate an even wider range of people”, and it has also got a completely revamped D-pad, which is brought over from the Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller.
There’s also been a Share button added this time to “make capturing screenshots and game clips simple”. This new controller will be included with Xbox Series X, but can also be used with PC and… Xbox One. It’s worth pointing out that all Xbox One controllers will also work with Xbox Series X.
