Since the initial announcement of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, new information of the game has been sparse. Even the official Super Smash Blog’s recent update only features information on a new Assist Trophy and not much else. Now, Nintendo brings us what we’ve all been waiting for, an entire direct focused solely on their most anticipated game of the year.
Brought to you by series director, Masahiro Sakurai himself, he has been working on the series non-stop since the first game on the Nintendo 64 in 1999. With this Direct, expect an hour-long video on new characters, new stages, and other surprises that awaits in this new Smash. Maybe it’ll be another 50-Facts Extravaganza, like they did for Smash 4 back in 2014.
Unlike the past few Smash Bros. games, no major leaks have been made so far. Not even the game’s title being announced during E3 was even hinted at by leakers or Nintendo themselves. Back during Brawl and Smash 4, there were tons of leaks that proved to be accurate as time went by. Thankfully Nintendo is much more cautious these days and are definitely keen on making all the big announcements themselves.
Malaysian fans can tune in to the Nintendo Direct on the 8th of August at 10 p.m. Fans can stream straight from Nintendo’s official YouTube page. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be coming to the NIntendo Switch on December 7th. Keep up with Gamehubs on Facebook and Twitter to be up to date on all things gaming.
