The Xbox app for Windows 10 PCs has been updated, offering support for remote and cloud streaming games.
While Xbox Cloud Gaming has been available on PC in beta since June, it was only accessible through a browser – now, players can stream games via the cloud through the official Xbox app on PCs with Windows 10 or later.
If you’d rather have access to a wider pool of games to stream on your PC – such as your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S library, perhaps – you can now also stream gameplay from your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S console over the internet. This means you can stream directly from your Xbox, whether you’re just in another room in the house, or you’re miles away with only a less powerful laptop to hand.
Remote Play has been upgraded on Microsoft’s end, with stability updates allowing streaming at 1080p and 60fps, when supported, and more Xbox 360 and OG Xbox games are available to play remotely now as well.
