Here’s All You Need To Know About E3 2021

E3 or Electronic Entertainment Expo is back after being on hiatus for a year and will kick off from June 12th to June 15th. This year’s event promises press conferences from some of the biggest gaming companies in the world. Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, Sega, Bandai Namco, and more are all set to announce new games and updates on titles each company has been working on. 

The annual gaming conference will not have a physical event but will be hosted digitally by each company via live streams on YouTube, Twitch and E3’s web portal. The digital showcases will probably run over midnight for Indian gamers due to which you can expect a change in date for most of the conferences.

For Indian gamers, the events start on June 13th at 12:30 AM with Ubisoft Forward. The company is set to showcase updates on games like  For Honor, Watch Dogs: Legion, and The Crew 2. In addition, Ubisoft is also expected to showcase the next Tom Clancy Rainbow Six game followed by a deep dive on the game. Updates on other games such as Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Riders Republic are also expected.

On Sunday, June 14th, viewers can expect press conferences from Microsoft, Square Enix, Warner Bros. Games, and 24 Entertainment. Since the events will take place post-midnight, technically the events will be held on June 14th for the Indian audience. Microsoft will be hosting its showcase at 1:30 AM on June 15th while Square Enix will be hosting its event at 3:15 am on the same day. 

June 14th, 2021 

E3’s Monday will start broadcasting at 11: 30 pm Indian time. Capcom, Take-Two Interactive, Mythical Games, Freedom Games, Razer, and unannounced indie developers will have presentations throughout the day, going well over midnight.

The biggest event has been saved for last where the Japanese gaming company is expected to host its Nintendo Direct presentation. The company will be announcing new games and new details on titles that have already been announced. Nintendo is also rumoured to be showcasing its latest iteration of the Nintendo Switch i.e. the Pro variant of the popular hybrid gaming console 

Nintendo’s E3 2021 Nintendo Direct will air at 12:30 AM June 16th for Indian audiences. Nintendo has already confirmed the event will host “roughly 40 minutes” and focus on Nintendo Switch software “mostly releasing in 2021.”
