Rockstar Games has announced that the next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V is now coming to Xbox Series X|S in March 2022.
The new console release for the eight-year-old crim sim was originally due to launch in November this year, but has been pushed back a few months to give the developer time to apply some extra polishing and fine-tuning. We did get a new trailer, however, showing off some of the game’s improved visuals, as well as some “performance enhancements” for select vehicles.
This delay also applies to the standalone release of GTA Online, which will be arriving alongside GTA V on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in March 2022.
With GTA V still frequently hitting the top of the UK charts every week on the last generation of consoles, and this new release on the way, will people ever stop buying Grand Theft Auto V? With GTA 6 reported to be releasing as late as 2025, not for a long time, anyway, it seems.
