Developers Infinity Ward has confirmed that they will be releasing their next Call of Duty Modern Warfare update today, April 29. For gamers in the UK, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare update time has been set for 7am, GMT. For Call of Duty fans in the United States, the new MW and Warzone patch will be arriving at 2am, ET. The news was confirmed in a social media post by the Infinity Ward support team, telling fans: “Tonight’s update will begin rolling out across all platforms at 11PM PST.

“Get ahead by checking out the full list of patch notes for #ModernWarfare and #Warzone on our website!”

And as mentioned above, the full patch notes have now been shared by Activision and Infinity Ward.

They’re a bit shorter than expected but include everything that is changing with the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Playlist wise, Modern Warfare is getting Blueprint Gunfight, Reinfected Ground War, 3v3 Cranked Gunfight, and Shoot the Ship 24/7.

“Shoot the Ship is back! This double the fun small map specialty playlist is a fan-favorite and features Shoot House and Shipment,” a message from Activision adds.

Modern Warfare gamers will also notice a new Challenges tab available in the main multiplayer screen for easier access.

The new Gunsmith Customs will also make big changes to the game, allowing gamers to “Expand your creativity to build lethal weapons from blueprints in your Armory. This update allows you to mix and match attachments from blueprints of the same weapon to create epic hybrid blueprints that have unique looks, styles, and capabilities.”

The Warzone patch notes also confirm that this week’s playlist will contain Solos, Trios and Quads.

The other big change is the return of trucks in Solos, changes being made to circle size and speed, and the Most Wanted Contract.

The Most Wanted Contract voluntarily puts a Bounty on yourself for any squad to see in Verdansk, providing you with another way to revive your whole squad.

Activision has also warned gamers that they will need to download a 15GB update, followed by another patch that will appear for Modern Warfare owners.

“Once the update is live, players will download the patch as normal. Once that is completed, when an owner of the full version of Modern Warfare tries to access Multiplayer, Special Ops, or Campaign they will be prompted to download the Data Pack DLC.

“During the Data Pack DLC download, you’ll have access to Warzone so, jump into a match of Battle Royale or Plunder. When the download is complete, players must restart the game to access all modes of Modern Warfare. Free-to-play Warzone users will not have a secondary download to download the Data Pack DLC with this update.”
